About Matthew

Matthew Indra (he, him, his) founded Madison Mindfulness in 2022. He is a certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Graduating from Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach's 2-year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certificate Program through the Awareness Training Institute and the University of Berkeley's Greater Good Science Center. As part of this 2-year program, Matthew completed a 6-month DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusivity, and Accountability) Training.

Matthew's teachings stem from the Buddhist Insight Meditation Tradition, and he teaches in a secular format while honoring the sacred. One does not need to be Buddhist to bring these practical and relevant teachings into everyday life. Matthew has practiced meditation in different Buddhist lineages for almost a decade. He has attended dozens of silent meditation retreats and workshops.

He currently holds space for meditation online through the University of Wisconsin Health Mindfulness Program and intermittently teaches Mindfulness classes at the Neighborhood House Community Center in Madison, WI. He is an RN, Father, and Husband. He is very excited to offer these teachings to people across locations from all walks of life.

Matthew's Mission

Matthew's mission is to offer online guided meditations and mindfulness and compassion teachings through various classes, drop-in, and private sessions.

He offers to bring mindfulness into different workspace settings, and is available upon request. He provides ways to help you experience peace of mind, gently hold life's difficulties with compassion, and wake up to the sacredness of life in a safe and supportive community setting.
