Cultivating the Heart Practices of Mindfulness

Join Mindfulness Co-Teachers Matthew Indra and Sharon Paquette as we explore and learn to cultivate the Heart Practices of Loving-Kindness, Compassion, Joy, and Equanimity. These practices help transform the Heart and Mind and can be applied and practiced in our everyday lives. Through them, we can connect most deeply to our desire for true happiness, contentment, excitement for life, and peace. 

This Series will meet for 4 weeks on Wednesdays. This is not a drop-in session. Each class supports and builds upon the next. You are highly encouraged to attend as many classes as possible to get the most out of practice. 

We will be discussing one Heart Practice each week. The class will consist of a talk followed by a guided meditation directly related to the heart practice being discussed and end with time for shares and questions.

Sharon and Matthew are thrilled to share these practices with you and invite you to show up just as you are from your home.
Optional reading assignments will be given from the book “A Boundless Heart” by Christina Feldman, Author and Insight Meditation teacher. You will be sent a weekly support email between classes with a short review of the previous lesson and additional information to help support you on your journey.

Sharon Paquette is a Certified Mindfulness Teacher, graduate of Jack Kornfield, Ph.D, and Tara Brach’s, Ph.D, Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program through the Awareness Training Institute, and the University of California at Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center. Her mission is to help you BREATHE, RELAX, & FOCUS on what matters in your life. She is here to help you explore mindful awareness of the breath, body, mind and heart utilizing a science-based curriculum in a playful, supportive space.

Learn More About Our Rates

At Madison Mindfulness, our mission is to make all our Offerings accessible to as many people as possible. Our Reduced Rate offering has a limited number of spots available to support members of marginalized groups (people of color, queer people, people with disabilities) and those experiencing financial hardships. These spots are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. We rely on those who can afford to pay the Base Rate to please do so. The Supportive Rate is for those who can meet the Base Rate and wish to make an extra monetary offering or Dana (Generosity Practice) to support the Madison Mindfulness Community.
